Fixed a pair of bugs that conspired to prevent scratchpad documents (the Scratchpad and Unix Worksheet) from correctly remembering and restoring their state across open/close cycles.Fixed a case in which changes made by a documentDidSave attachment script would trigger a subsequent warning about the document having unsaved changes.In the case of untitled documents, the temporary copy will be in the system-designated temporary items location, which is arbitrary but generally not anywhere near $HOME. When using "Check Syntax" or "Run" on an unsaved or untitled document, the application will now write out a temporary copy of the document.Differences that have been applied are now crossed out in the Differences window list, in order to avoid janky font italicizing effects on some OS versions.Added Command-K and Command-R as keyboard equivalents for "Check Syntax" and "Run", respectively.Most will use the specified size, except in specific cases where circumstance requires the use of a fixed font size. Lists in the application all use the system font. The "List Display Font" setting in the Appearance preferences has been replaced with a slider to set the font size.For convenience you can assign keyboard equivalents to these commands in the "Menus & Shortcuts" preferences. Use these to change the magnification of the text in editing views. On the "Text Display" submenu of the View menu, there are three new commands: "Zoom In", "Zoom Out", and "Actual Size".

Recent Files & Favorites This folder is no longer used and may be deleted. Document ist TextWrangler stores state information for individual documents in this file. (Earlier versions stored such data in the folder “~/Library/Preferences//” and TextWrangler 4.5 will continue to use that folder if it already exists.) The standard contents of this folder are as follows. TextWrangler Preferences Folder By default, TextWrangler stores ancillary preference data in the folder “~/Library/ TextWrangler” so as to comply with current OS guidelines. (To open the Help book, choose “TextWrangler Help” in the “Help” menu.) Upgrading TextWrangler 4.5 will import and use any relevant preference settings from TextWrangler 3.0 or later, provided that prefs file is present. For a complete list of available expert preference settings, please see the “Expert Preferences” page of the built-in Help book. In addition to the settings documented in Chapter 10, you may adjust additional expert preference settings outside of TextWrangler by issuing suitable “defaults write” commands. TextWrangler Preferences File All of TextWrangler’s basic preference settings are stored in the file “~/Library/ Preferences/”, which is created and maintained using standard system services. Preference Files and Folders When you start up TextWrangler, it may create the files and folders noted in this section. Instead, the first time you launch TextWrangler 4.5, it will copy all existing Unix scripts into the Scripts folder, and all existing Unix filters into the Text Filters folder. Superseded App Support Folders Upgrading TextWrangler 4.5 no longer uses the Text Factories or Unix Support folders, though these folders may exist if they were created by a version prior to 4.0. Upgrading The first time you launch TextWrangler 4.5, it will copy all of your existing Unix filters into this folder. (If an AppleScript script does not have a ‘RunFromTextWrangler’ entry point, TextWrangler will call its run handler, again passing a reference to the current selection range.) AppleScript scripts should return a string which TextWrangler will use to replace the selection range, while Unix filters should write to STDOUT. When you apply such an item, TextWrangler will pass either the selected text (if any) or the contents of the entire document on STDIN to Unix executables and filters, and as a reference to a ‘RunFromTextWrangler’ entry point in AppleScripts. The Text Filters folder can contain compiled AppleScripts and/or Unix filters, which you may apply to the frontmost document via the Apply Text Filter command in the Text menu. Text Filters This folder does not exist by default, but you may create it at any time.
